Route Operations Supervisor

The Route Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting with overseeing the full coordination of all ground activities including product picking, loading, documentation checks, and truck departures. Once trucks are on the road, the Route Operations Supervisor monitors real-time delivery progress using route tracking software, conducts driver check-ins, resolves issues, and ensures service-level adherence.
This position plays a key role in bridging warehouse operations, delivery execution, and quality control while maintaining compliance with CBC standards for product integrity, food safety, and HSE.
- Oversee the preparation, staging, and loading of customer orders, ensuring pick accuracy, correct SKU sequencing, and product condition
- Coordinate truck loading in alignment with the routing plan, prioritizing load integrity, delivery order, and product security
- Validate delivery documents (load sheets, invoices) for accuracy and completeness before dispatch
- Maintain proper documentation and records of orders
- Supervise and support the Distribution Assistants assigned to the preparation of orders for each delivery route, including physical setup and vehicle loading
- Conduct daily roll calls, assign tasks, and confirm labor allocation and shift coverage for all ground and delivery personnel
- Monitor live route progress using designated tracking software and proactively resolve delivery issues or delays
- Conduct regular check-ins with drivers and provide support for real-time concerns, customer escalations, or access challenges
- Track and report daily KPIs such as on-time delivery, route adherence, order accuracy, and truck turnaround time
- Communicate with Warehouse and Distribution teams to resolve discrepancies in product availability or documentation
- Communicate with the Garage Department for scheduling vehicle maintenance and ensuring readiness
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance team for rejected loads, non-conforming products, or hygiene-related concerns
- Ensure teams’ compliance with organizational policies, food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, as well as all plant health, safety and environment (HSE) requirements according to company and regulatory policies
- Assist with ongoing training and coaching for Distribution Assistants on handling procedures, loading techniques, and customer service
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance dispatch efficiency, reduce service failures, and elevate delivery standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Education/Experience/Other Requirements
- High School Diploma with a minimum of five (5) BGCSEs including Math & English; Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management from a recognized institution, a plus
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Warehouse, Supply Chain, or Logistics with at least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in operating forklifts and commercial vehicles

- Ability to work independently under pressure and make quick operational decisions
- Good working knowledge of bottling plant production processes, equipment and systems
- Government Food Handlers Certificate
- Understanding and Implementation of Integrated Management systems using a Process Approach
- Understanding results of Hazard Analysis of relevant processes
- Relevant ISO, KORE Requirements and Company Procedures
- Root Cause Analysis
- Good Manufacturing Practices & HSE Awareness training
- Strategic understanding of risk management and sustainable performance management
