Shipping Supervisor

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods for both import and export activities. This includes overseeing all inventory required for external distribution (e.g., Freeport, TCI), as well as supervising the picking, packing, and local distribution of imported goods.
- Liaise with Freeport and Turks & Caicos branch managers to ensure timely receipt of orders
- Generate commercial invoices and coordinate export documentation (e.g., bill of lading, shipping instructions)
- Request containers and coordinate bookings with the shipping company
- Oversee preparation and loading of containers for Freeport and TCI shipments
- Coordinate container deliveries and returns in collaboration with the Logistics team
- Conduct 8-point inspections to verify containers are in good condition before export
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly
- Monitor inventory of supplies and materials needed for export and replenish as required
- Verify receipt of imported products against purchase invoices
- Oversee unloading of imported goods, ensuring adherence to FEFO principles
- Ensure proper labeling of imported pallets (container number, expiration date, arrival date).
- Generate imports report and track inventory movements
- Liaise with Quality Assurance to confirm imported goods meet product specifications
- Conduct daily reefer container temperature checks
- Verify sign-off of relevant production reports for imported products
- Supervise picking and internal distribution of import-related product inventory
- Ensure team’s compliance with organizational policies, food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, as well as all plant health, safety and environment (HSE) requirements according to company and regulatory policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Education/Experience/Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
- At least eight (5) years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, with at least two (2) in a supervisory role

- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to drive standard shift and operate a forklift
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to support operational demands
- Training in Time Log, EoStar, and MAS 90 software systems
- Implementation of Integrated Management Systems (FSSC, ISO)
- Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls
- KORE Requirements and Company Procedures
- Root Cause Analysis
- Forklift Safety and General Health & Safety Training
- Training on operational risks, controls, and sustainable performance procedures
