Operations Trainee

The Operations Trainee is a developmental role designed for high-potential professionals with prior experience in manufacturing or distribution environments. This program is structured to accelerate readiness for leadership by providing advanced, hands-on exposure across core operational functions including Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Quality Systems. Throughout the training period, the incumbent will actively contribute to daily operations, support improvement initiatives, analyze operational performance, and develop the technical and leadership competencies necessary to transition into a leadership role.
- Participate in a structured rotational program across Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Quality Systems
- Develop a general understanding of manufacturing functions and the major roles and responsibilities in those functional areas
- Support the execution of operational plans to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service targets are achieved
- Assist with data analysis, report preparation, and performance evaluations to support management decision making
- Demonstrate leadership potential through initiative, accountability, professionalism, and effective communication with teams across the organization
- Engage in all training, development, and educational opportunities assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment
Desired Knowledge/Skills
- Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to influence and motivate teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Desire to build a career in the manufacturing industry
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays and extended hours as required
- Sage100 and MEM software application
- Strategic Understanding of Management Systems (FSSC and ISO) 9001:2008
- Root Cause Analysis
- Relevant KORE Requirements and Company Procedures
