Warehouse Assistant Manager

The Warehouse Assistant Manager will provide administrative and clerical support for warehouse management and supervisory staff.
The task and responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant Manager include but are not limited to the following: Assist the Senior Warehouse Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse Department including leading, mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Provide administrative support for the warehouse including processing shipment returns, processing requisitions, reviewing and processing invoices for delivery, preparing reports, and coordinating special projects
- Provide assistance with fixed asset management activities including data entry, inventory, and disposal of non-conforming product, conducting asset research, and providing necessary inventory reports for warehouse and accounting departments
- Assist in effectively regulating Inventory levels
- Verify sign off on Daily production report
- Update Transactions in EoStar
- Assist in the management of the Departmental KPI’s and the development and execution of the staff training plan
- Plan, organize and direct warehousing related administrative services such as communications, signage, maintaining and updating records, scheduling contractual work, producing training modules, work aids, presentations, procedures and manuals
- Prepare correspondence, reports and statistics related to the warehouse operations areas of responsibility
- Sign off on warehouse cleaning checklist and forklift daily inspection list
- Confer with department supervisors to coordinate warehouse activities such as audits, production, sales, records control, year-end inventory and purchasing
- Review contracts, invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to analyze department productivity and efficiency
- Ensure stock levels are managed and controlled effectively to reconcile with data system
- Ensures team compliance with organizational policies, food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, as well as all plant safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Initiate, document and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Gather and communicate information relevant to product recall, where applicable
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- Associate of Science Degre in Business Administration or related discipline and/or relevant experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role with at least three (3) years’ experience leading a team

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Relevant KORE Requirements and Company Procedures
- Use of Route Center software application
- Training in applicable Work Procedures: Quality, Food Safety and GMPs
- Health Safety and Environment Awareness Training
- Strategic understanding of risk management and sustainable performance management
